Do you want to take sandwiches with you on a hike, or store cheese in a fun, quirky wrap? You can do all of that plastic-free with a beeswax cloth. You can make one yourself during 24 Hours Weesp. The people at the farm will show you exactly how to do it, and how to use your own beeswax cloth.

Emerge yourself in a world of art, food, and music. This special day revolves around women of various nationalities. You can admire their craft, taste their food, and enjoy music from all over the world. There are workshops, meditations, and a dance performance for children.

ART, FOOD AND MUSIC WITH THE WOMEN OF WEESP FOUNDATION

Do you have a dream wedding in mind, but you can't see yourself commit for life just yet? With 'Trouwen voor 1 Dag' (Married for 1 Day) you can get a trial run. Put on your gown, pick out a suit, and tell each other 'I do'!

THROW A 'TRIAL WEDDING' AT CITY HALL

Do you love music? Come and listen to a carillon being played in the Laurenstoren. The carillon is a piano-like instrument, consisting of at least 23 bells. It plays an important role in Dutch cultural history. There is a special listening area, from which you can hear the carillon perfectly. There's also a cup of tea or coffee for you to enjoy.

COME AND LISTEN TO CARILLON MUSIC

Start the day with a sun salutation during a yoga class at YogaToday. This class will take place in a church, the Laurentiuskerk. You can choose from various forms of yoga, so there's something to enjoy for everybody. Will you do yoga plus, pilates, or qigong?

WAKE UP WITH A YOGA CLASS IN CHURCH

Come and listen to the Tour de Chant in the Van Houtenkerk. The winner of the Ouderen Songfestival 2024, Machteld van der Gaag, sings beautiful songs together with the finalists Luc Runderkamp, Elly Spruyt and Kaat Vink. Accompanied by pianist Vera Marijt.

'Over the Rainbow' is an exhibition all about love, who you are, and being yourself. There is also a meet and greet with artist Julia Kiryanova.

CELEBRATE DIFFERENCE AT RADEMAKERS GALLERY WITH PINK WEESP

Take a stroll along two different community garden lots. A guide will take you along on a wonderful nature hike. Through special QR codes you learn about various plants and animals in the gardens.

DISCOVER THE COMMUNITY GARDENS OF DRIEMOND - 6 YEARS AND OVER

Celebrate life with beer and bitterballen. Accompanied by live music, you can enjoy a drink and meet your neighbours. You might even make some friends!

AN EVENING AT THE PUB AT GRAND CAFÉ DEUX

During 24 Hours Weesp you can take a boat trip from café 'T Helletje to Fort Uitermeer and back. The boat leaves as soon as it's full.

EXPERIENCE WEESP FROM THE WATER

The Weespermop is a traditional, local pastry that knows its origin in Weesp. Any festivities in Weesp are incomplete without it. Come get this sugary cookie at bakery Cor Mühl during 24 Hours Weesp.

GET A TRADITIONAL PASTRY FROM A LOCAL BAKERY

Do you enjoy playing with clay? Children can make their own brooch at the Weespersluis community centre. Get creative!

GET CREATIVE WITH CLAY - FOR CHILDREN 18 YEARS AND UNDER

Do you enjoy being on the water, and do you want to try something new? Learn to sup (Stand Up Paddling) from an expert. Supping is easy to learn and a fun way to discover the area.

STAND UP PADDLING ON GOUW LAKE - 12 YEARS AND OVER

Go back in time and experience the 1920s anew. The Great Roaring Twenties Party in Wispe Brewery is all about glamour, style, and of course good beer.

Does a starry night make you happy? You can enjoy it even more with special telescopes. The Volkssterrenwacht Amsterdam, local stargazing enthusiasts, helps you to become a better stargazer. They also tell you everything you need to know about the stars and planets you're seeing.

STARGAZING IN THE TEA GARDEN

What goes on in a riding hall? Uncover the answer to this question during this open day of Manege Bleijenberg. Learn everything there is to know about the conditioning and training of horses. Attend riding courses, and cap the day off with an impressive demonstration.

EXPERIENCE A DAY OF EQUESTRIAN FUN

Do you also love hand-painted plates? At KLEILOKAAL they make plates and mugs of all shapes and sizes. During 24 Hours Weesp, you can paint your own saucer there. You will make your own piece of art, made from special plates and glaze in 20 different colours.

PAINT YOUR OWN SAUCER - 6 YEARS AND OVER

During a hike across the wonderful Domijn estate, you follow routes drawn in the sand. The routes will guide you past workshops, performances, and exhibitions.
