Amsterdam is turning 750, and such a birthday naturally calls for something delicious. Zoë Verloop is the founder of Kookstudio de laurier, the first cooking studio in Amsterdam. Looking for cool vintage clothing, style advice or a cozy place to drink coffee? Come by the Coffee House and Clothing Store! This place is a safe haven for homeless visitors. They get food and compensation in exchange for working in the neighborhood. From 09:30 you can also join the team.

The Posthumuswinkel is a specialty store for stamps, which has been around since 1865. Have this flyer stamped with a special '750 years of Amsterdam' stamp. With that you get a discount if you want to buy one yourself.

Westerkerk will be transformed into a cinema for one evening. Every hour, a short film classic featuring Buster Keaton, a famous comedian filmmaker in the 1920s, will be shown. Evan Bogerd will play live music on the church organ during the running time.

Brocante, design, glass and jewellery: you will find it all at the antique market in the Posthoornkerk. Browse the stands for special objects and who knows, you might find something unique. Bought something nice? You can have your purchase appraised for free. You can also climb the church tower for a fee.

In the Theo Thijssen Museum, famous and unknown people read from their favorite books. Come along, meet the readers and discover new stories. Also visit the exhibition 'Lekker lezen', about reading skills and reading pleasure. Here you will also find the favorite books of writer Theo Thijssen.

Cultural Center Felix Meritis on the Keizersgracht is the beating heart of the festival of 24 hours Centrum. Here you can go between 12:00 and 17:00 for all the information you need to explore the neighborhood.Come and watch a preview on 22 March. Some Amsterdammers and ambassadors of teh Beeldenstorm will look through the eyes of these statues and tell what wisdom, justice , moderation and vigilance mean. Visit the Royal Waiting Room! On platform 2b of Amsterdam Central Station there is a special waiting room for members of the Royal Family. This is where they waited for the train in the nineteenth century. You will hear all about it during a tour of the Dutch Railways. Take a look into the world of digital art. In the new art gallery Shylodelic Art Space, on the Nieuwe Leliestraat, you will see special works of art. This art combines the cultures of the Netherlands and Ukraine. Walk through the halls and discover colorful works of art with beautiful patterns, illuminated by ultraviolet light. Enchanting!

The Poezenboot is the only animal shelter that is located in the water. This houseboat has been taking in homeless cats since 1966. Come visit this floating cat shelter and meet the animals. Coffee, tea and something tasty are ready, and you will receive a Poezenboot bag with information.

The Vrij Paleis is a cultural place in the city centre. Photographers, fashion designers, woodworkers, filmmakers and other artists work here. Visit the workplaces, see an exhibition and meet the artists who work here. During a guided tour they will tell you all about the history of this special place.
